When Bay of Plenty’s intense rains and coastal winds hit exposed soils, uncontrolled erosion and invasive weeds can grind projects to a halt. Our integrated system combines UV-stabilised geotextile fabric with fully biodegradable groundcover mats and a precision hydroseeding slurry to lock soil in place, suppress weeds and kick-start robust plant growth—all in one streamlined operation.
First, we spray our custom hydroseeding mix—premium grass or cover-crop seed, moisture-retaining mulch, natural binders and starter nutrients. Then we unroll and cover with Coconut matting or hessian groundcover mats that naturally break down over time, adding organic matter back into your soil. These layers form a physical barrier against wash-outs and emerging weeds. This ensures perfect seed-to-soil contact and rapid germination. These cloths also act as an insulator aiding with germination.
Within 7–14 days, green shoots emerge, outpacing weeds. As roots deepen, they weave through both the fabric and mats, creating a self-reinforcing matrix that stabilises slopes or batters — without ongoing maintenance.
